Students arriving onto campus must not loiter on the front porch. Students are to move to the courtyard area. The cafeteria is opened from 6:50-7:15. Students report to classes each day at 7:15. The school day ends at 2:40.
Promotional Requirements: less than 6 credits (9th grade); 6-11.5 credits (10th grade); 12-17.5 credits (11th grade); 18-24 credits (12th grade)
Testing: End of Course “EOC” (students enrolled in: Algebra I, English II, Biology, US History, and English III) Testing occurs each semester (late November- December and late April –May). Students must successfully pass EOCs to graduate.
Dual Enrollment: Students have an opportunity receive college credit while enrolled in High School. Students must meet program eligibility requirements (ACT, etc varies by college/university). We partner with SLU and SUNO.
Cuillier Career Center (CCC): Students have an opportunity to attend CCC to receive training in: Cosmetology, Auto Mechanic, Graphic Arts, and other areas. Applications are available with the counselors.
Schedules: Students will receive schedules during advisory on the first day of school. Students will locate their advisory class on the signs that will be hanging in the courtyard according to their class (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior). Schedules will not be changed due to teacher preference, based on a friend’s schedule, etc. Schedules will only be changed should there be an extreme or extenuating circumstance or an administrative error or oversight. There will be a deadline designated by the Principal when schedule changes are no longer granted. Typically, by the end of the 1st week of school, schedule changes are not permitted.
Scholarships and graduation requirements can be obtained from the students’ counselor.
Early Release: Students are not granted early release during the Fall semester. Students who will be granted Early release in the Spring will need to fulfill certain academic requirements that are outlined in the student handbook. Students who attend CCC are allowed to leave early.
Lunch: Students are allowed to bring a packed lunch. The cafeteria serves meals two times a day. Students are not allowed to leave campus to buy food. Parents / guests are not allowed to bring outside food on campus for students.
Student Parking: Parking permits are available in the Discipline office. Students without a permit will receive consequences. Students are not permitted to return to their vehicle during the school day, unless they have early release, attend CCC, or are checking out.
A student is allowed to miss 5 unexcused days per semester before receiving a grade of X for the course in which the days the student has been absent in. If a student has a half semester class the student is only allowed to miss 2.5 days in order to pass the class. Letters mailed to the home and phone calls will be made to keep parents informed of any attendance issues or tardy issues as it relates to your child.
